Onwards towards Kalbarri we went passing through some lovely towns and places on the way. Walked our way around Geraldton and explored the surrounding coastal towns. It has been VERY windy so finding not so windy overnight stops has been the order of the day. Galena Bridge was one such spot. Nestled on the banks of the Murchison River, late season rains has the river running at quite high levels. It also, unfortunately, has the flies running at high levels, our "aussie waves" are getting quite a good work-out.

Kalbarri National park was fantastic. Although the elder member of the Chookpen has an aversion to heights, we still managed some great walks (runs). He was, however, very happy to leave the gorges. You better believe it!!!!!!
Kim has said that this photo is definitely a "captain's call" but outback toilets definitely impress the elder member.
Looking across the gorges the elder member felt he was in a John Wayne movie and was sorry he hadn't packed his six guns.
