1ST WEEK IN TASSIE

Have landed in Tassie and loving it. Trip over on the "Spirit of Tasmania" was good. Apart from both of us sleeping upside down for parts of the journey we were told it was a smooth trip. We are  just roaming about the countryside at the moment heading in a southward direction.

 Journey from Devonport to Sheffield

1st day stopover at Sheffield - greeted with snow on the mountain peaks.

Sheffield is the town of murals. Here are just a few.

THE ROAD TO TASSIE

Tasmania is a place we have always loved and just talking about the place to fellow travellers made the decision easy, Tassie here we come.  We are presently in Melbourne, ferry trip tonight. Melbourne has put the weather on for us and the odd brass monkey in preparedness for the Apple Isle. We have had a wonderful trip down the East Coast catching up with friends and family. First stop was Grafton  to celebrate both Owen and Suzanne's birthdays. Owen's "Big 60" was a beauty. 150 guests danced the night away to one of the best bands we have witnessed in years. Sue's a few days later was a little more subdued. After a week of partying it was time to hit the road. Caught up with Kev in Coffs Harbour and stopped with Gaye and Bruce in Lemon Tree Passage.

How about this!!!!!!

Happy party campers

On to Lemon Tree Passage.................. and its a happy birthday to Kel.
