TOOWOOMBA QLD & SURROUNDS

Toowoomba (nicknamed 'The Garden City') is in the Darling Downs region of Qld, 125 km  west of Brisbane. Visiting in summer does not give justice to the magnificent gardens and streetscapes.

Below a sample of the Japanese Gardens to be found at the University

The elder member of the Chookpen hangin' in there at Picnic Point lookout.

KENILWORTH QLD XMAS

We have still been floating up, down and around Northern, Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Plenty to see and plenty to enjoy, except for unexpected visits to the dentist. Here we are checking out the landscape along the Clarence River near Grafton NSW.

Enjoying "Elton John" at the local RSL Club

We were lucky enough to see this baby foal, 1 day old.

 Camping at Ormeau QLD

This Kingfisher made him or herself at home on our awning.

We are back at Kenilworth, inland from Noosa Heads, and about to celebrate Xmas here. Its a great little village with a fantastic yogurt and cheese factory within walking distance......yum,yum.

STILL JUST HANGIN' AROUND

We are still just enjoying ourselves hangin' around and cruisin' between Northern NSW, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.............. soakin' up the sunshine (interrupted by the occasional thunderstorm) and livin' the dream. Currently back in our favourite place on the coast, Pottsville NSW.

Visited the Tweed Art Gallery at Murwillumbah. Easy to lose a few hours in this place, it was spectacular. Replica of Margaret Olley's home and studio in Paddington, Sydney.

 We loved these sheep

View from gallery balcony, good for a coffee.

Bee Gees Alley at Redcliffe, a beachside suburb of Brisbane, where the boys grew up and started out. This is just a sample, it was fantastic, music, videos, you name it.
