A LITTLE BIT MORE OF THE NT and EASTWARDS TO QLD

We had a fabulous week in Darwin retracing many of the steps we took during our visit 12 months ago. Wonderful place to visit.

Leaving Darwin we stopped in again to Litchfield National Park for another look see. This time, as well as visiting the many waterfalls and swimming holes, we discovered an abandoned tin mine.

 we found this sign amusing

We turned left from the Stuart Hwy at Daly Waters and headed eastward along the Carpentaria Hwy towards Booraloola and the QLD border.

Very dry along here. We put out a tub of water and below was the result.

We decided to head back down the Carpentaria Hwy and follow the black top after sampling the state of this road (the Savannah Way) towards QLD. There was 300 klms of this to travel.

 Heartbreak Hotel at Cape Crawford

Its over to QLD now and up to Savannah Gulf territory.
