ACROSS THE NULLABOR

The rain had made the roads out to Lake Ballard  and regions a bit messy and we decided that heat and mud would make it too hard for Bea who is still adjusting to her new way of life. Left Kalgoorlie and headed for the Nullabor. What a wonderful drive that is. Thoroughly enjoyed it again. Free camped for 3 nights. Cold  and windy at night but lovely and peaceful. Swallowed first fly and marvelled at the boxing kangaroos in the distance. Star show was easy on the eyes too. First morning was spent trying to rescue a fellow traveller who woke up to a flat battery. After spending an hour trying to work out where our battery was housed, we could not get the Chookpen close enough to jump start their vehicle because of the way they had parked and a nearby tree. Thankfully another traveller lobbed up and rescued the situation. Fair dinkum it was the blind leading the blind. It makes us feel good that there are others like us out here. We have had a laugh with them after bumping into them a few times afterwards. Reached Ceduna and decided to stop at a caravan park, stock up on food and water.
