After catching up with family and friends,it was time to hit the road again and north was where we headed. First stop was Nambour, home of the "Big Pineapple". Chatting to fellow travellers we discovered that the Eumundi Markets were open, so we were on our way to Eumundi. What a disappointment. On our last visit to the markets 20 years or so ago, they were full of local artisans but, alas, now they are just like every other market. Fruit & veges were great so we stocked up. Chocolate and yogurt were wonderful. We travelled onwards through Gympie and landed at Rainbow Beach. Stayed the week.
Headed back to the Tweed for a few more days then ventured off into the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Made our way to a place called Kenilworth. A lovely little place, great village atmosphere and its own cheese factory. Its school holidays at the moment so we will stay here before heading back towards the coast. "Jack Frost" visited this morning and it was 2 degrees when Bea decided it was time to wake up and go outside.
