KIMBERLEY DRIVE

It was time to take a look at the Kimberley from a different perspective. The plan was to drive down the Gibb River Road through to Kununurra. Unfortunately the road was so bad that we decided after reaching Windjana National Park to turn back and head to Kununurra along the black top via the Great Northern Highway.. We did manage a few day trips further along the Gibb and the trip through Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek was great.

Willare Roadhouse reminding us where we were.

The beginning of the Gibb River Road.

A trip to Tunnel Creek. Crocs habitate the area so it was tread lightly as we made our way through

Next day we headed further along the Gibb

Time to shake our way back to Derby and along the Great Northern Highway.

  1. Hi Kim & Kel
Love your photos. If you are driving across the top, keep a lookout for Mike Pauly from Freo who is walking around Australia with a buggy to raise awareness for Climate Change and Men's Health. He has passed Elliott in the NT heading to Queensland. Happy travelling. Pat W
