BRISBANE VALLEY & BEYOND

After a 3 week break at Tweed Heads and with the Chookpen having had its annual service, it was time to hit the road again. The Brisbane Valley was our destination and  we were lucky enough to attend our first live Rugby League game for yonks. Laidley Lions v Rosewood Roosters under 7's. We were in the Lions corner and they did not disappoint. The Brisbane Valley was beautiful, travelling out through Esk, Somerset Dam, the Bunya Mountains, Joe Bjelke country at Kingaroy, Murgon, back down through Kilcoy and Woodford to the outskirts of Brisbane where we are going to stay and explore the Brisbane City. The country towns out there were wonderful, they know how to look after the travelling Grey Nomads. Pubs were great and country butchers, well, we need a bigger freezer.
