The Tasman Peninsular is truly spectacular. We camped at the Nubeena RSL Club and explored from there. They made us most welcome but it helps when you visit the bar each evening.
Statue at Eaglehawk Nest promoting the "dog line", one of a few preventative measures stopping convicts escaping Port Arthur.
The beauty of Port Arthur as it is today although you can feel the horror and torture of yesteryear as you walk around.
We ventured out to the ruins of the old coal mines. Amazing place. There was a beautiful campsite beside the waters edge but, being the only ones there beside the tortured souls of the convicts, we decided to move on.
Heading back to Hobart for the "Festival of Voices"
