SOUTH WEST THROUGH NSW

Made it up the mountain. Treated ourselves to a meat pie in Braidwood (up there with the best we tasted) and headed out towards Wagga Wagga stopping overnight at the great little towns of Gunning and Jugiong on the old Hume Highway. Magnificent country out in this part of NSW. A lot of rain at this particular time which for us is nice. Wagga was a beautiful regional city. Sorry we never seemed to have a camera with us but we did manage to take a few pics in the War Memorial Park.

We took a drive out to Junee. Used to be a big railway town but like a lot of towns these days its struggling a bit.

The great man himself....... Ray "Rabbits" Warren

Being lovers of both licorice and chocolate, the Organic Licorice & Chocolate Factory was a must visit.....yummy!!!!

There was also a vintage car museum there.

What a fantastic player he was

Further along the trail was the town of Coolamon.

Venturing further south west in the Riverina Region of NSW was the "verandah town" of Lockhart. Each year they have the "Spirit of the Land Festival" where these fantastic iron sculptures are created.
