BARN HILL STATION AND DESTINATION BROOME

It was further north along the Great Northern Highway. About 200 km from 80 Mile Beach and off the highway is Barn Hill Station Stay. Barn Hill is a working cattle farm. They did tell us how many cows it ran and how large in area it was but all we can remember is that it has a coastline of 85 km, so its pretty big. What a remarkable few days we were about to have here. We camped on the hillside overlooking the Indian Ocean, little did we know what the beach was about to offer. Still not a good idea to have a swim, too many "big" biteys. It's a quick dip in and straight out.

We ventured over the red cliffs and this is what greeted us.

Headed back up to our camp, had a few drinks and a lovely dinner to celebrate Kim's birthday. The sunset just blew us away. It was a birthday to remember.

  We loved our outdoor showers.

Little did we know, after a cloudy day we were greeted with another amazing sunset. We love our sunsets.

 World's worst fisherman.

Here's our sunrise view from the loo

It was onwards to destination Broome where we are having a lazy week preparing for our cruise. It's great to be having a swim in the ocean. Temperatures have been in the mid 30's, not too bad for the end of May. Cable Beach is below. The sunsets don't disappoint here either.

 These amazing sandscapes were everywhere

Not something you see every day
