WOW!!!!! What a fantastic place Alice Springs has been. From history lessons, mesmerising scenery, magnificent art, catching up with friends, dry creek beds, walking the gorges to tackling the outback roads. And yes, we got well and truly bogged in sand at one spot but thankfully plenty of assistance was nearby.......sorry no photos. This country never fails to conjure up something special for us. Unfortunately we think that our photos don't do justice to the changing colours of the mountain ranges.
John Flynn gravesite
Albert Namatjira paintings at the Araluen Art Precinct. His paintings are mind blowing.
The Old Telegraph Station
West MacDonnell Ranges.
Hermannsburg, Albert Namatjira country. We have never seen landscape paintings represent the countryside like his, truly magnificent.
Simpson's Gap

Not a bad place to stop for a few days, view from the loo
