SA to NT, AYERS ROCK, THE OLGAS

Headed north along the Stuart Hwy towards NT border. Still mesmerised by the changing colours of the landscape.

Turned west and came across Mt Conner....amazing, but we were still unaware of how magnificent the next stage of our journey was to be.

 We climbed this hill...............

.......and captured our fist glimpse of the Rock.

We settled in at the Yulara Campground and began our explorations. To say this area blew our minds away would be an understatement. The changing colours of the landscape, we can't help it we just loved the place.

Explored the Rock by day and walked its base.

It was open to climb the summit, you be the judge to say if we climbed it.

Worth the effort to get up for sunrise

Sunset was just as spectacular..................at times with a bush fire nearby

Sunset over the Olgas

Dinner under the stars after a sunset viewing

Sunrise at the Olgas

 looking back towards the Rock

We explored the Olgas

Eventually heading west to WA but we'll choose another route
